Mike is originally from the beautiful state of Oregon but has called Utah home for well over a decade. He attended Brigham Young University where he completed his undergraduate nursing studies. Following graduation, he began caring for patients and families during some of life’s most challenging moments as a critical care nurse in a Level II Trauma Center ICU. He also spent several years providing compassionate in-home nursing care for individuals with complex medical needs. Through these experiences, Mike developed a deep appreciation for caring for the whole person—both physically and emotionally—which ultimately inspired his transition into psychiatric and mental health care.
Mike returned to Brigham Young University to earn his Master of Science degree in Nursing and then completed a post-master’s certificate in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing at Spring Arbor University. He holds dual board certifications as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
Mike provides psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults and enjoys working collaboratively with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that combine evidence-based medication management with education and shared decision-making. He is committed to creating a welcoming, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, understood, and actively involved in their care. His goal is not only to help patients find relief from their symptoms but also to improve their overall quality of life. Above all, he hopes that every patient leaves each visit feeling respected, supported, and optimistic about their path ahead.
Outside of the clinic, Mike enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active at the gym, taking long walks outdoors, traveling, reading, exploring new restaurants and cuisines, and is always on the lookout for a great new TV series.
