Ketamine is a psychedelic medication that has been used as an FDA-approved anesthetic for over 50 years. It has both dissociative and anesthetic effects. More recently, it has been found to have strong anti-depressant effects when used at very low doses. Ketamine has been studied to effectively treat depression, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and eating disorders.
All of our psychiatric providers at Lone Peak Psychiatry in Salt Lake City have specialized training in safely and effectively using Ketamine to treat patients. Our providers are leaders in the field of Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) and train other psychiatric providers in the community to provide this specialized approach.
Ketamine has been shown to have positive effects on treatment-resistant depression, including rapid onset of action and significant improvement in symptoms.
Currently we accept Select Health, Deseret Mutual, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Optum (United Health Care, UMR), PEHP, WISE and EMI insurances. We will be accepting many other insurances shortly.
We are able to accommodate your needs quickly and efficiently. We offer competitive cash rates:
Initial Evaluation (60 minutes): $200 – includes diagnosis, treatment plan, medication management and applicable therapy. We offer both Telehealth and in office visits.
Follow Up Appointments (30 minutes): $125 – includes medication management, further diagnostic evaluation/treatment plans and applicable therapy. We offer both Telehealth and in office visits.
