Depression

Depression is a disorder that makes it difficult for a person to feel happiness, satisfaction and purpose. Effective treatments include medication management with an experienced provider, ketamine and spravato treatments, lifestyle modications including an improved diet and exercise regimen, and working closely with a therapist. Anxiety

Anxiety and worry can be normal, helpful emotions that encourage us to act, change and problem solve. However, there are times when anxiety can cross into the territory of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), which can cause excessive anxiety and worry that is difficult to control. If you are feeling anxious more days than not, over a period of 6 months or more, you may be struggling with GAD. We are here to help you navigate through your anxiety to reach a more peaceful and centered state of mind.

PTSD

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder can be a severe and disabling disorder. Some symptoms of PTSD include flashbacks of the traumatic event, intrusive thoughts, hypervigilence and sleep issues. This almost always leads to social, relational and occupational troubles. We have great empathy for the real and lasting effects trauma can leave. There are many treatment options, including Ketamine, which can offer healing for those with PTSD.

Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition characterized by extreme mood swings, from high manic or hypomanic episodes to low depressive episodes. Treatment usually involves a combination of medication, such as mood stabilizers and antipsychotics, and psychotherapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy. The goal of treatment is to manage symptoms, prevent recurrence of episodes, and improve overall quality of life.

ADHD

ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by symptoms such as inattention, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. It can impact an individual’s daily functioning and quality of life. Treatment for ADHD typically involves a combination of medication and behavioral therapy. The most commonly prescribed medications for ADHD are stimulants, such as Ritalin, Adderall, and Concerta, which help to improve attention and reduce impulsiveness. Non-stimulant medications, such as Strattera, may also be used.

OCD

OCD is a mental health disorder with persistent, distressing thoughts and repetitive behaviors aimed at reducing anxiety. Treatment typically involves a combination of medication (SSRIs) and psychotherapy (CBT with ERP). In severe cases, ECT or DBS may be used. The best treatment plan is tailored to the individual based on their symptoms and needs.

Eating Disorders

Eating disorders are mental health conditions marked by unusual eating habits like excessive or limited food intake, weight fixation, and a distorted body image. The most common are anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder. Treatment includes therapy, medication, and nutritional counseling. CBT and DBT therapy and drugs like antidepressants and antipsychotics are effective. Nutritional counseling helps restore a balanced diet. Hospitalization or residential treatment may be required in severe cases. Treatment plan varies based on type and severity of eating disorder and individual needs.

Insomnia

Insomnia is a sleep disorder causing difficulty in falling asleep, staying asleep, or poor sleep quality. Symptoms include fatigue, irritability, and poor concentration during the day. Treatment includes lifestyle changes, behavioral therapy, or medication. Examples of lifestyle changes are maintaining a sleep schedule, avoiding screens before bedtime, and reducing caffeine and alcohol. Behavioral therapy like CBT-I helps improve sleep habits and reduce symptoms. Medications for insomnia include OTC sleep aids and prescription drugs, but these should be used only under medical guidance. A personalized approach based on underlying cause, symptoms, and lifestyle is the most effective treatment for insomnia.

Autism Spectrum Disorder

Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder affecting social interaction, communication, and behavior. It is treated with a combination of behavioral and educational therapies, medication, and support services. Behavioral therapies like ABA teach specific skills and improve social interaction and communication. Educational therapies like special education and speech therapy help with skill development. Medications may be used to manage symptoms like anxiety, aggression, and attention problems.
