I received my bachelors in Psychology with a Peacebuilding certificate from BYU-Hawaii, and my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a post masters of science in Child and Adolescent Disorders from Grand Canyon University. I have provided services at Utah State Hospital, another state hospital, and finished my internship at a psychology clinic. I have experience in administering psychotherapy and helping clients heal from the effects of trauma, abuse or any other mental health concern. I believe in using evidence based treatments for those who have experienced an overwhelming or life threatening event, or who need guidance in navigating their specific mental health challenges. I find joy in assisting with the healing process of the mind through trauma informed therapy. One of the best ways to provide healing for any individual is to show compassion, expound the foundational principles of self-love and then implement evidence based treatment modalities in a safe and nurturing environment. I also understand the importance of imagination, creativity and play in the healing process at any age. Through evidence based treatments, unconditional positive regard, and play, meaning can be found in the pain, self-esteem and resilience can be built and calm will be the consequence. Everyone has a radical right to live a vibrant and beautiful life; I’m here to help you do just that.
